Typically within an organization, asset criticality is visualized on a ranked list known as an Asset Criticality Ranking. In this webinar, Fluke Reliability experts Frederic Baudart and Gregory Perry discuss "criticality" as one of the most misused terms in the maintenance reliability world. Organizations often use this word when they really should be talking about "criticalness"—which more aptly describes the impact to an organization's safety, reliability, availability, and bottom line. Understanding criticalness will help maintenance and reliability teams focus their efforts where they are most needed. This concept becomes increasingly important when a company finds itself counting heavily on aging equipment for manufacturing and production.
Frederic Baudart is Lead SME Manager for Fluke Reliability, focusing on its reliability and condition monitoring product lines. He has more than 20 years' experience in field service engineering work and preventive/predictive maintenance. Baudart has held various field services and technical positions with responsibility for installation and commissioning and senior services management roles. He is Thermal/Infrared Thermography Level I certified and has obtained his Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Baudart holds technical degrees in electrical and instrumentation engineering from Chome-Wynz technical college in Brussels, Belgium.
Gregory Perry is Senior Capacity Assurance Consultant with Fluke Reliability. He is a Certified Reliability leader with nearly two decades of experience in maintenance and operational best practices. Perry is dedicated to positive client relationships while bringing to the table a broad base of experiences in the areas of MRO and storerooms, world-class maintenance principles, CMMS consultation, and leadership. In addition to delivering implementation and consultative services to clients, Perry also presents maintenance best practice sessions at leading industry conferences and has authored several online best practice webinars.
