Insights from AHR Expo 2018

During the 2018 AHR Expo in Chicago, Jan. 22-24, we visited with maintenance and reliability personnel from the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC) industry. Between talking with visitors to our booth who were learning for the first time about Fluke’s expansion into the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) realm with the Fluke Accelix Suite of Solutions, our team walked the show floor and also conducted a preshow presentation about some of our technology’s benefits.

Our booth visitors talked of the struggles to gather data and insight so that they can make informed decisions about asset maintenance, including scheduling and work orders. As more facilities move to implement IIoT technologies, storing, organizing and acting on the wealth of data that is generated is of paramount concern. In addition, for those facilities in the infancy of technology adoption, the question is where to begin?

Media visitors

We also had the opportunity to speak with members of the media and shared some of the benefits that end users receive when data is integrated from all sources and available at their fingertips, either on a smart device or a computer desktop. We enjoyed talking with teams from Automation.com, Building Operating Management, Contracting Canada, Empowering Pumps, Facility Executive, Facility Maintenance Decisions, Plant Engineering, Quality Magazine, RSES.

AHR Innovation Awards

One of our proudest moments was joining the team during the award ceremony for the AHR Innovations of the Year. Fluke won in the Tools and Measurement category for its T6, which allows for voltage measurements without test leads. Congratulations to all the 2018 winners!
