Why you must rank your assets for ‘criticalness’

Typically within an organization, asset criticality is visualized on a ranked list known as an Asset Criticality Ranking. In this webinar, Fluke Reliability experts Frederic Baudart and Gregory Perry discuss “criticality” as one of the most misused terms in the maintenance reliability world. Organizations often use this word when they really should be talking about “criticalness”—which more aptly describes the impact to an organization’s safety, reliability, availability, and bottom line. Understanding criticalness will help maintenance and reliability teams focus their efforts where they are most needed. This concept becomes increasingly important when a company finds itself counting heavily on aging equipment for manufacturing and production.
