Xcelerate18 Recap

We want to thank everyone who attended and participated in Xcelerate18, which took place Nov. 13-15 in Fort Myers, Florida. The show was a success and drew approximately 500 attendees.  Here is a breakdown of the event and top Xcelerate18 moments.

Pre-Conference

During the pre-conference,  attendees could participate in a one-day overview CRL workshop led by Dave Reiber, Senior Reliability Leader of Reliability Web.

After the workshop, attendees could take a two-hour optional exam to achieve CRL certification.

Conference Breakout Sessions and Keynotes

The conference included four keynote speakers and dozens of breakout sessions. The breakout sessions covered various topics including eMaint X5 software training, reliability, maintenance strategy, and IIoT and data integration.

On Day 1, The first keynote speaker, Shon Isenhour, founding partner of Eruditio LLC, discussed “The 5 traits of a reliability superhero…  and 5 skills they can retire.” He delved into predictive maintenance and maintenance management systems and how they can enable you to fight off downtime and unreliable assets.

Following that presentation, Fluke Digital Systems President Dave O’Reilly provided an uplifting message on how the maintenance and reliability industry is doing. He also talked about Fluke’s plans for “delivering and developing Connected Reliability.”

Jake Mazulewicz, Ph.D., owner and principal of JMA Human Error Solutions, then discussed how human error can affect and destroy processes.

On Day 2, Nancy Regan, founder of RCMTrainingonline.com, spoke about leveraging your reliability journey using three valuable lessons and a simple physics equation.

The closing keynote speaker, Klaus Blache, director of RMC & research professor at the University of Tennessee, covered “Survival skills for R&M superheroes of the next decade.”

Q&A Panel, Exhibits and Networking

In addition to keynote speakers, a panel of experts lead a great discussion on Day 2 about real-world vs. world-class reliability and maintenance.

The Xcelerate18 agenda also included exhibits showcasing the latest solutions and products, networking events and product demos.
